TUI updates face coverings rule for most flights with more regulations relaxed

TUI passengers flying from Wales will no longer be required to wear face masks in the latest relaxation of Covid restrictions. The move covers most of the airline and tour operator's flights to and from Cardiff.

The airline dropped its mandatory mask rule for passengers on flights from England and Northern Ireland earlier this month. However in line with UK government and EU Charter guidance, passengers are still advised to wear a mask throughout the flight.

Under current guidance, it is still mandatory for customers aged 12 and above travelling on TUI Airways to/from Scotland to wear a mask throughout their flight unless medically exempt. All UK travellers may also still be required to wear a mask when leaving the aircraft and once inside the destination airport.

It remains mandatory for customers aged two and above travelling to the USA with TUI to wear a mask throughout their flight. Customers are asked to carry evidence if they are medically exempt. Face coverings are also mandatory for all passengers aged six and above travelling to Italy with TUI to wear an FFP2 mask throughout their flight.

TUI added: "If you are showing any Covid-19 symptoms or have recently tested positive you should not travel and will be able to change your holiday fee-free under our COVID flexibility policy. If you are flying with one of our airline partners please check their website for the latest information."
