TUI has updated its guidance for travellers using Manchester Airport and Birmingham Airport amid huge delays.
Several airlines and airports are struggling to cope with staff sickness and shortages, with thousands of flights cancelled by easyJet and British Airways in recent weeks.
Manchester Airport is warning departing passengers to expect delays of up to 90 minutes ahead of the bank holidays. With this in mind, TUI has issued a new guide to passengers travelling through Manchester Airport and Birmingham Airport.

TUI said: "We are aware of security queue delays at some airports, predominately Birmingham and Manchester. We are working closely with our partners to monitor the situation and open check-in as early as possible.
"We advise customers to please plan to arrive at the airport and proceed to check-in as normal, keeping in mind that standard check-in opens at least two and a half hours before departure time for short and mid-haul flights, and at least three and a half hours before departure for long-haul flights."
To try and keep queuing to a minimum TUI is offering customers several services. One includes dropping your bag off the day before your flight.
TUI said: "If you’ve got a flight that departs before midday, you can check your bag between 14.00 and 21.00 the day before you depart. You can then proceed straight to departures on your day of departure."
This is available at Manchester Airport and Gatwick Airport. There is also a self-service bag drop available from Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Gatwick, Manchester and Newcastle Airports.
