Scots businessman scammed Boots out of £736,000 in gift card loophole
A businessman carried out a huge £736,000 Boots gift card scam in just two months.
Robert Bell was involved in the con after taking advantage of a secret loophole.
The 37-year-old crook was able to get the cards for free by filling out an order form and asked them to be loaded with credit without the intention of paying the cash back.

Scots grandad fighting Russians in Ukraine is notorious Hibs football casual
A notorious Scottish football hooligan has travelled to Ukraine to join its armed forces and fight against the Russian invasion.
Robert Grady took part in a recruitment video wielding an assault rifle alongside his new comrades and urged other volunteers to enlist.
The reformed Hibs casual posted Facebook messages yesterday from the frontline telling pals: “I intend to kill as many as I can.”

First picture of machete attack victim as gangster targeted in bloody assault
The victim of a violent machete attack in Uddingston has been named as gangster Tommy Todd.
Convicted drug dealer Tommy was targeted on Main Street by two thugs wearing balaclavas and high-vis who launched the bloodied attack at around 2pm on Thursday March 3.
The hoods fled the scene in a dark grey/blue Volvo.

Brazen thieves caught on home camera ransacking Scots flat in robbery
Brazen thieves have been caught red-handed on a home camera while they ransacked a Scots flat.
Alan Pollock, from Glasgow , had spent Sunday night at Loch Ard and had no idea that his home had been targeted by thieves earlier that evening.
He returned to his ground floor flat on Dumbarton Road to find it had been 'turned upside down' on Monday.

Young Scots nurse lost ability to walk after 'lightning' pain up legs on shift
A Scots nurse has been left unable to walk more than 10 steps without a zimmer frame after being diagnosed with three rare diseases within three months.
Katie Ash-Wilson, of Kilmarnock, had been working as a staff nurse at Ayr Hospital during the height of the covid pandemic when she felt a shooting pain like 'lightning' up the back of her legs on a night shift in November 2020.
Then aged 24, she put the pain down to being on her feet all the time.
