TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams executive officer AV Dharma Reddy directed the Tirupati municipal corporation officials to complete the Srinivasa Sethu elevated expressway corridor works by May 15.
The TTD EO who held a review meeting with the Tirupati smart city corporation limited officials and the contract agency involved, observed that 89% of the Srinivasa Sethu elevated expressway works had already been completed and asked them to fastrack the pending works and complete them before May 15.
The Srinivasa Sethu elevated expressway is being commissioned in the temple city with an aim to address the perennial traffic woes of the temple city thronged by millions of devotees annually.
While TTD is contributing 67%, Tirupati smart city corporation is bearing the remaining 33% of the Rs.533 crore expressway project.
