A TSB branch in Nottinghamshire is set to close down in May this year. The decision to close the Newark branch was made due to 'more and more people opting for digital banking'.
It comes as TSB announced it will also be closing eight other branches by May. Last year, the bank shut down 70 sites across Britain.
Currently, TSB has 220 branches remaining in the UK. Although this will drop down to 211 after the new closures in around three months time, the Mirror reports.

Commenting on the closures, a TSB spokesperson said: “The decision to close a branch is never taken lightly, but our customers are banking differently – with more using digital banking. We remain committed to a national branch network and have invested £30million upgrading it over the last two years.
“Through video, telephone, digital, branch and other face-to-face services TSB customers now have more ways to bank with us than ever before.” In 2021, the TSB bank in Low Pavement called time on Thursday, May 20.
The remaining TSB banks still open in Nottinghamshire include: 2 Davies Rd, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5JD, 246 Southchurch Dr, Clifton, Nottingham NG11 8AA and 80/82 Nottingham Rd, Eastwood, Nottingham NG16 3NQ.
