Biggest isn't always the best – but in the case of Yorkshire, it clearly is.
God's Own Country is the biggest in Britain. It stretches from Sheffield in the south to Richmond 80-odd miles north and from the western extremities of the Yorkshire Dales in the far west 120 miles, as the crow flies, to Spurn at the extreme east.
It is the biggest and – in our entirely unbiased view – the best one. But how well do you know the best county in Britain? Whether you're Yorkshire born and bred or an offcumden – Yorkshire dialect for an 'incomer' – it's important to know a thing or two about these parts.
