President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, stating that he has instructed his advisers to take decisive action in the event of an assassination attempt against him. Trump emphasized that any such action would result in Iran being 'obliterated,' leaving nothing behind.

These remarks were made by Trump during the signing of an executive order aimed at increasing pressure on Tehran. The President's strong stance comes in the midst of ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran.

It has been revealed that federal authorities have been monitoring Iranian threats against Trump and other U.S. officials for an extended period. This heightened security awareness follows previous incidents, including the 2020 killing of Qassem Soleimani, a prominent Iranian military figure.

Recent reports indicate that an Iranian plot to assassinate Trump prior to the presidential election was uncovered and thwarted by U.S. authorities. The alleged plot involved an individual named Farhad Shakeri, who was reportedly instructed by Iranian officials to surveil and carry out an assassination attempt on Trump.

Shakeri, who is currently at large in Iran, has been identified as an Afghan national with ties to the Iranian government. He confessed to the FBI that he had been directed by Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard to develop a plan to target Trump.

In response to these threats, Trump has taken steps to revoke government security protection for several former officials, including Mike Pompeo, Brian Hook, and John Bolton. These individuals have all faced threats from Iran due to their hardline positions against the Islamic Republic during Trump's tenure.

While Iranian officials have dismissed these allegations as part of a larger conspiracy to complicate Iran-U.S. relations, the U.S. government remains vigilant in monitoring and addressing potential threats from Iran.
