President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that he is not concerned about the recent firing and subsequent rehiring of over 300 employees at the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the agency responsible for managing the nation's nuclear weapons.
Trump, while in West Palm Beach, Florida, expressed his lack of worry over the situation, emphasizing the need to take necessary actions. He mentioned the discoveries being made and the process of firing and rehiring employees, acknowledging that not all individuals were reinstated.

The abrupt terminations at the NNSA led to a period of chaos within the agency, with the majority of the staff being reinstated shortly after the firings. Following pressure from several members of Congress, Energy Secretary Chris Wright reversed the decision, citing critical national security concerns.
Trump justified the personnel changes by referring to his electoral victory in November, claiming a mandate to implement extensive cuts across the federal government. He emphasized the goal of strengthening and streamlining the government by eliminating unnecessary positions and reducing the workforce.
