President Donald Trump stated that he was unaware of the situation involving right-wing influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan landing in the US after a travel ban was lifted from Romania. When asked about whether the Trump administration pressured the Romanian government to release the brothers, Trump responded by saying, 'I know nothing about that. I don’t know what you’re saying, he’s on a plane right now? Yeah, I just know nothing about it. We’ll check it out, we’ll let you know.'
The Tate brothers, who hold dual US and UK nationality, had previously been prohibited from leaving Romania following their arrest in 2022 on charges of rape, human trafficking, money laundering, and involvement in an organized crime group. The brothers have consistently denied any wrongdoing.

According to Mateea Petrescu, the spokesperson for the Tate brothers, they arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a private jet after departing from Romania on Thursday. The decision by Romanian authorities to lift the travel ban reportedly came after alleged pressure from the US to ease restrictions on the Tate brothers.
