During a recent testimony, Deborah Tarasoff revealed that former President Trump did not always sign checks that were sent to him. Tarasoff mentioned that sometimes Trump would simply write 'void' on the check and send it back if he did not wish to sign it.
When asked how she could confirm that it was Trump who had not signed the checks, Tarasoff explained that the checks were signed in Sharpie, which was consistent with Trump's known preference for using black Sharpie markers.
Tarasoff further stated that Trump would occasionally choose not to sign checks even when they had been approved by the Chief Financial Officer, Allen Weisselberg.
During the testimony, Trump's attorneys, Emil Bove and Susan Necheles, reacted with a smile when Tarasoff mentioned Trump's fondness for using Sharpies.
