Donald Trump is set to return to Washington to commence the festivities surrounding his second presidential inauguration. The event will be a mix of Washington's traditional solemnity and Trump's signature style of celebration.

The inauguration will kick off with a fireworks display at one of Trump's luxury golf properties, with guests including tech industry leaders, business associates, conservative media personalities, and thousands of supporters from across the country.

Organizers are adjusting plans due to frigid temperatures expected on Inauguration Day, moving most outdoor events indoors, including the swearing-in ceremony.

Trump, who left office in 2021 under controversial circumstances, will be welcomed back to the White House by President Joe Biden, in adherence to the democratic tradition of the peaceful transfer of power.

Compared to his first inauguration, this year's events are anticipated to be more subdued, with a focus on ceremonies and celebrations. The lineup includes performances by various celebrities and appearances by prominent figures from the tech and business sectors.

The festivities will span several days, starting with Trump's arrival in Washington on Saturday, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony, a rally, and a private dinner on Sunday. Inauguration Day will feature the swearing-in ceremony, a prayer service, and various official functions.

While protests and vigils are expected during Trump's visit, the tone and scale are projected to be different from previous years, with a focus on broader social and political issues.

The Women's March, now rebranded as the People's March, will also take place, emphasizing a range of rights and causes beyond opposition to Trump.

Overall, Trump's second inauguration promises a mix of tradition, celebration, and reflection as the nation witnesses the transfer of power and the beginning of a new chapter in American politics.
