Trump's chief pollster predicts the Republican candidate will win Florida by double digits

Donald Trump's chief pollster, Tony Fabrizio, has predicted that the former president's campaign would win Florida by a significant margin in the upcoming election, surpassing his previous victories in the state.

In fact, Fabrizio went as far as to anticipate the campaign would win by double digits which would be a massive improvement considering he won the stat in 2020 by 3.3 points, a margin considered to be fairly wide at the time

"I'm old enough to remember when Florida was the ultimate swing state in presidential elections," Fabrizio said during a Florida Senate delegation meeting at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. "Florida will not be a swing state this election."

This prediction challenges previous statements from President Joe Biden, who in April suggested that Florida was competitive for Democrats, especially after an abortion rights initiative was placed on the November ballot.

Fabrizio also projected that North Carolina and Arizona, both swing states in 2020, would lean solidly Republican in the upcoming election, while also shedding some light onto which states he considers to be on the fence this time around:

"The toss-up states now are Virginia, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico," Fabrizio said. "And we're looking at Maine."

To further stress his points, Fabrizio underscored the fact that Trump's campaign and supporting outside groups have a cash advantage at this stage of the election cycle with over $40 million more than Biden's campaign, which would signal that the campaign's biggest promotional push hasn't even arrived.

"While Joe Biden spent $150 million on TV ads, we have spent goose egg," Fabrizio said. "This campaign has not spent a dollar on TV ads yet. And get ready, they're coming."
