Trump's Cabinet Picks Face Senate Confirmation Hearings

Last week, several of President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet picks faced confirmation hearings before Senate committees to discuss their qualifications and plans for their respective roles.

Among those who appeared for hearings were:

  • Pete Hegseth, nominated for defense secretary
  • Pam Bondi, nominated for attorney general
  • Kristi Noem, nominated for homeland security secretary
  • Doug Burgum, nominated for interior secretary
  • Scott Bessent, nominated for treasury secretary

During the hearings, the nominees were questioned on a range of topics related to their positions, including their policy stances, experience, and plans for leading their departments.

Pete Hegseth, the defense secretary pick, discussed his vision for strengthening national security and military readiness. Pam Bondi, the attorney general pick, outlined her priorities for upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice for all Americans.
