President-elect Donald Trump has expressed his desire to visit China after being sworn into office, according to sources familiar with the talks. This move is seen as an attempt by Trump to establish an open dialogue with Beijing while also maintaining a tough stance on the country.

Aside from China, Trump has also shown interest in visiting other countries, including India to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with whom he shares a warm relationship. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report on Trump's intention to travel to China.

During a recent phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump discussed various issues such as trade, fentanyl, and TikTok. Trump even extended an invitation to Xi to attend his inauguration, but China opted to send Vice President Han Zheng instead.
