Former President Donald Trump announced on Monday his intention to continue holding outdoor rallies despite the recent assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump expressed his belief that it would be symbolically significant to hold another campaign event in Butler.
During a sit-down interview, Trump confirmed his plans to conduct outdoor rallies when asked by a source. Despite concerns raised by Secret Service officials, who reportedly advised against scheduling large outdoor gatherings following the assassination attempt, Trump remained resolute in his decision.
Trump emphasized the importance of returning to Butler, Pennsylvania, for a rally, citing the symbolic significance of not allowing the actions of an individual with mental health issues to deter his campaign activities.
“I think it’s important symbolically. I don’t think we should be stopped by somebody that has severe mental problems or whatever his problem was,” Trump stated.
