The Justice Department on Tuesday said that the classified documents were “likely concealed and removed” from former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in an effort to obstruct the federal investigation.

The FBI seized 33 boxes containing more than 100 classified records during its 8 August raid at the 45th president’s private residence in Florida, according to a court filing.

The Justice Department also released the first images of documents seized from the Mar-a-Lago estate, which show markers bearing the reading “secret” and “top secret” on classified documents.

And in one document marked “secret”, the heading indicates that the contents refer to human source intelligence.

“The government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation,” read the late-night filing.
