Several users rushed to the comment section to mention the economic impact of the wide-ranging tariffs announced by Trump on Wednesday, and which led markets to plunge on Thursday.

Markets in the U.S. had their worst daily drop since the beginning of the pandemic, with the S&P 500 falling by 4.8% and the Nasdaq 100 plummeting 6%.
Trump, however, said that the U.S. is "going to boom." "The thing that people have to talk about, we have almost a $7 trillion investment coming into our country, and you'll see how things turn out," he said at the White House South Lawn.
