Afternoon Update: Trump imposes sanctions on ICC; ‘pressure from above’ over Lattouf; and the roles actors regret

Donald Trump has authorised economic sanctions against the international criminal court. It comes in response to the ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants for the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his former defence minister for alleged war crimes in Gaza.

Elsewhere in Trump’s America, the chair of the federal election commission says the president tried to fire her illegally; the Trump administration is being sued over its aggressive dismantling of USAid; the taskforce to enforce sanctions and target oligarchs close to the Kremlin is being disbanded; and the president has demanded 60 Minutes be “terminated”.
