Trump expressed his desire for the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia to come to an end during a press briefing at the White House.
Trump mentioned the possibility of meeting with President Zelensky and engaging in talks with President Putin, emphasizing his interest in resolving the conflict. When questioned about the meeting location, Trump suggested it could be in Washington, DC, or possibly in Kyiv.


The President highlighted the importance of discussing the financial and military support provided by the US to Ukraine in the face of the Russian aggression. He emphasized the need for ensuring the security of Ukraine's assets and the allocation of financial resources to support the country's defense.
President Zelensky is set to lead Ukraine's delegation at the upcoming Munich Security Conference, where Vice President JD Vance and special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, are also expected to be present. However, President Trump is not scheduled to attend the conference.
Last week, Trump expressed his belief that Russia should be willing to negotiate with Ukraine and suggested his readiness to meet with President Putin promptly to discuss potential agreements.
