Trump Has 'Left Instructions' In Case Iran Assassinates Him: 'They Would Be Obliterated'

While signing an executive order from the Oval Office on Tuesday, President Trump told reporters he has "left instructions" in the event that Iran assassinates him or anyone close to him.

In a clip circulating on X, a reporter is heard asking Trump, who was signing an order to block Iran from achieving nuclear weapons by imposing oil-export sanctions, whether he feared retribution from the country and its proxies.

"That would be a terrible thing for them to do," Trump warned. "If they did that, they would be obliterated. That'd be the end. I've left instructions. If they do it, they get obliterated. There won't be anything left."

He added that Biden should've made a similar statement but never did.

"I don't know why. Lack of intelligence, perhaps," Trump added.

Trump continued by saying if any leader or someone close to a leader were assassinated, they would also "call for total obliteration of a state that did it. That would include Iran."

Iran had allegedly enlisted Farhad Shakeri, an Afghan national who escaped to Iran, according to AP News, to kill Trump in November 2024, according to the Justice Department.

Iranian officials denied the allegation, and its foreign ministry spokesman blamed Israel-linked circles for the ruse, claiming it wanted to further complicate US-Iran relations.
