President Donald Trump has expressed his desire to obtain detailed information about the two individuals who attempted to assassinate him during his presidential campaign last summer. Trump has directed the Secret Service to provide him with all available information regarding the incidents.
One of the assailants, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, shot Trump in the ear during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13. Crooks was subsequently killed by the Secret Service after opening fire on Trump, resulting in the death of a rally attendee and injuries to two others.
Another attempted assassination took place two months later when 59-year-old Ryan Routh allegedly waited with a rifle near the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach on September 15. A Secret Service agent spotted Routh aiming a rifle through a fence and fired at him. Routh fled the scene but was apprehended later that day.
Routh has pleaded not guilty to charges including attempted assassination of a presidential candidate and assault on a federal officer. He is currently in federal custody awaiting trial scheduled for September 8, 2025. Following Routh's arrest, six cellphones were reportedly discovered in his car.

Additionally, it was revealed that Crooks had encrypted messaging accounts on various platforms located in Belgium, New Zealand, and Germany. Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., who is part of a congressional task force investigating the assassination attempt, provided this information.
President Trump expressed frustration over the delay in receiving information from the Secret Service, attributing it to President Biden. Trump emphasized his right to access the details of the incidents and demanded transparency from the authorities.
The White House has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter.
