President Donald Trump has indicated that he is open to imposing further sanctions on Russia as the conflict in Ukraine approaches its third anniversary. During a recent call with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump reportedly discussed the conflict in Ukraine, urging for a resolution. He emphasized the importance of both parties being willing to engage in dialogue for peace to be achieved.

Trump acknowledged Zelensky's desire for peace but noted that cooperation from all sides is necessary for progress. The situation remains fluid as diplomatic efforts continue.
