President Donald Trump recently made claims that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has identified billions of dollars in 'fraud, waste, and abuse' within the United States government. Trump criticized what he described as an 'incompetently run Government' in a post on Truth social platform. He also took aim at 'certain activists and highly political judges' who he believes are hindering progress.
Trump's comments coincide with ongoing clashes between his administration and the judiciary. Vice President JD Vance and other officials have been vocal in their criticism of judges who have blocked some of the president's second-term orders. The courts have intervened to stop Trump's efforts to terminate birthright citizenship, freeze federal grants and loans, and reduce the scope of government agencies like USAID and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Additionally, a judge has prevented DOGE officials from accessing the Treasury Department's payment system.

Elon Musk joined the fray by condemning the judge as 'corrupt' and calling for his immediate impeachment on social media platform X. Vance also questioned the authority of the judicial branch to impede Trump's directives over the weekend, asserting that judges should not interfere with the executive branch's legitimate powers.
