Trump Awaits Jury Verdict In Criminal Hush Money Trial

Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. President Trump campaigns in Reno

Former President Donald Trump has left Trump Tower and is on his way to the downtown Manhattan courthouse, where a jury is entering the second day of deliberations in his criminal hush money trial.

The jury, consisting of 12 members - seven men and five women, is tasked with determining Trump's legal fate in connection with 34 felony criminal charges related to falsifying business records. These charges stem from allegations of concealing reimbursements to his former lawyer for a hush money scheme aimed at silencing an adult film star about an affair just before the 2016 presidential election.

Today, the jury is expected to begin with a readback of four segments of witness testimony and a review of the judge's instructions on the law, responding to requests submitted during Wednesday's deliberations.

Deliberations are set to resume at 9:30 a.m. ET, with Trump and his legal team remaining in the courthouse while the jury continues its work. The defense team has established a 'war room' within the courthouse to strategize and monitor developments during the deliberation process.

The outcome of this trial holds significant implications for Trump, as it could determine whether he is found guilty of the charges brought against him. The public and media alike are closely following the proceedings as the jury deliberates on this high-profile case.
