Donald Trump called out conservative mega donor Charles Koch a “very stupid, awkward, and highly overrated globalist” in a post on the Truth Social platform this week.
His tirade against chairman and CEO of Koch Industries, second biggest private company, came against the backdrop of reports that the latter is raising tens of millions of dollars to find an alternative to Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential race.
“It is a “clear sign to me.. you must be getting nervous that Koch has already raised more than $70 million to oppose you in the Republican presidential primary,” said Mary Trump, niece to Donald Trump while commenting on Donald Trump’s outburst,in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
“And there’s more coming,” she added.
“I can only imagine how off-the-charts your anxiety is especially since you know there is so much more trouble coming your way,” said Mary Trump. She attributed her uncle’s reaction to his jealously about Koch.
“Your childish name calling can only take you so far. Even more transparent than your anxiety is your jealousy,” the ex-president’s niece, who is also a psychologist, said. She noted that Koch was at least 24 times richer than Donald Trump.
“You really shouldn’t let your emotions take over like this Donald. Your pattern of name-calling and grievance is wearing thin and it just makes you look like the weak loser you are,” said Mary Trump.
While terming the Koch brothers as the “most vile, dangerous, disgusting, and horrible influences in modern American politics,” she said, “How screwed up do you have to be to be jealous of one of them?”
Why It’s Important: Mary Trump has been a vocal critic of her uncle and the ideals he stand for. In a substack post on Thursday, she called out the lies that the former president told in his recent NBC interview.
She also slammed the corporate media for giving him the platform to ply his lies and not nailing them as he continues to reel them off.
“The only tactic Donald has left is to flood the zone with disinformation; the only way to stop him is to refuse to allow it,” she said.
