President Donald Trump is set to meet with Jordan’s King Abdullah II at the White House to discuss the situation in Gaza. The leaders are expected to engage in talks regarding Trump’s proposal for the US to take control and redevelop the strip.
Trump has expressed his determination to turn his ambitious plan into a reality, stating, “I’m talking about starting to build,” and indicating his belief that he could negotiate deals with Jordan and Egypt in this regard.

Furthermore, Trump has hinted at the possibility of withholding aid from Jordan and Egypt if they do not align with his vision of incorporating Palestinians into the US ownership plan for Gaza. However, this proposal has been met with resistance from Arab leaders who have rejected the idea.
The meeting between Trump and King Abdullah II comes in the wake of Trump’s call for Israel to terminate the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. Trump issued a warning, stating that “all hell is going to break out” if Hamas fails to release hostages by the specified deadline of Saturday at noon.
