Trump And Haley Clash Ahead Of South Carolina Primary

Republican presidential candidate Haley makes a campaign visit ahead of the South Carolina Republican presidential primary election in Mauldin

Former President Trump and his last remaining challenger Nikki Haley are intensifying their campaigns ahead of the Republican primary in South Carolina. Haley has been focusing on various issues, with foreign policy being a key point of discussion. She recently concluded an event in Greenville, South Carolina, where she maintained a busy schedule.

While Haley has been actively engaging with voters, Trump has not made an appearance in the state. Haley has criticized Trump for his absence and has been vocal about her disagreements with him on multiple topics, including legal matters, electability, and foreign policy.

During a recent town hall event in Colombia, Haley specifically called out Trump for his statements regarding Vladimir Putin and NATO. She emphasized the importance of being cautious of Putin's intentions and criticized Trump for not standing firmly with NATO allies.

On the other hand, Trump has been addressing legal challenges against him and has not focused much on South Carolina or Haley in his recent speeches. He highlighted his actions as president, including stopping the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and criticizing Biden's decisions on energy policies.

Despite the ongoing back-and-forth between Haley and Trump, a Monmouth University poll shows Trump leading Haley by a significant margin. Trump is expected to visit South Carolina soon, and he has raised concerns about Democrats being allowed to participate in the Republican primary if they did not vote in the Democratic primary earlier this month.

The upcoming Republican primary in South Carolina is shaping up to be a highly contested and closely watched event, with both Haley and Trump making their cases to voters in the state.
