Following a heated exchange between President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky, Trump convened with his key advisers in the Oval Office to discuss the situation. The meeting included Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and other top officials.
During the meeting, Trump and Vance accused Zelensky of being ungrateful for US aid, leading Trump to conclude that Zelensky was not in a position to negotiate further. As a result, Trump directed Rubio and national security adviser Mike Waltz to inform Zelensky that it was time for him to leave.

Despite the Ukrainians' desire to continue the talks, they were instructed to depart the White House premises. The Ukrainians, who were initially set to reconvene for lunch, were denied the opportunity to dine at the White House. As the prepared food remained untouched in a hallway outside the press secretary's office, Zelensky and his delegation left the White House shortly thereafter.
This unexpected turn of events marks a significant development in the relationship between the US and Ukraine, raising questions about the future of diplomatic engagements between the two countries.
