True divinity is harmony in diversity, says Governor

I am pleasantly surprised to learn that there is no bar on caste or creed to worship at this temple, said Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, inaugurating the Meenabharani Thookkam festival of Bhadrakali Amman Temple in Kollencode in Kanniyakumari district on Saturday night.

Mr. Ravi, who interspersed his talk in Tamil and Malayalam, said he had been learning Tamil. One should emulate the practice followed by this temple in being impartial regarding one’s religion and  caste and live as a family in harmony. Poet Bharathi said,”Though Mother India is represented in various languages and colours, the thought pattern is one.” This is true divinity, the Governor said.

Vijay Vasanth, Kanniyakumari MP; V. Ramachandran Nair, president of Bhadrakali Amman Temple Devaswom; MLA S. Rajesh Kumar (Killiyoor) were present.
