Australia’s pop king Troye Sivan dropped a ‘yuge f-bomb at the 2024 ARIA Awards after he seemingly forgot to plug a sponsor during an interview. Oooft, the big dawgs ain’t gonna like this one bestie.
Wednesday marked the night of nights for Aussie musos, with big stars like Missy Higgins, G Flip and Sivan hustling to Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion for the annual ARIA Awards.
However, amongst all the chaos of pointy trophies and emotional speeches, Sivan accidentally dropped a massive f-bomb during a chat with ARIAs host Tim Blackwell.
When Blackwell asked the “You Got Me Started” singer how his night was going, Sivan replied that he was “chilling” and “having a couple of beers” before he jets off to Melbourne for a concert.
The host then asked what his choice of bevvie was, Sivan revealed that he was downing an ice-cold Peroni.
“Oh, there you. It’s not sponsored or anything?” Blackwell asked.
The “Rush” singer went on to swear into the microphone, gifting us a ‘yuge bleep that instantly reminded me of OG Big Brother Australia.
You see, Sivan was recently announced as Smirnoff’s “Chief Vibe Officer”, which is a title that was brought up by Blackwell after his huge f-bomb.
“Although I will say, Smirnoff, you’re the vibes officer,” the ARIAs host shared before asking Sivan what the vibes were out of 10, to which Sivan replied: “Great. 10.”
Although the moment was quite an awkies one for Sivan and his new partnership with Smirnoff, the slip-up did NOT ruin his night at the ARIAs.
Sivan went on to win three ARIA Awards for his project Something To Give Each Other. The categories included: Best Pop Release, Best Solo Artis and Album Of The Year.
Good on Blackwell for that save because I would’ve pulled the same thing as Sivan and just swore my head off for getting to plug a cheeky sponsor.
