Radar and satellite imagery have confirmed that the center of Tropical Storm Debby is currently situated just off the coast near the Georgia-South Carolina border. The storm is expected to continue tracking further out over the Atlantic Ocean through Wednesday while remaining in close proximity to the US coastline.
As Debby moves back over warm ocean waters, it is anticipated to strengthen slightly before making a turn to the north and heading towards the South Carolina coast early Thursday, as per the National Hurricane Center's latest update.
Residents in the region should prepare for additional rounds of heavy rain as the storm is forecasted to unleash more precipitation over the Southeast until at least Thursday.
