Tropical Storm Alberto Causes Coastal Flooding In Corpus Christi

Citgo Corpus Christi Refinery in Texas

Roadways and parking lots in parts of Corpus Christi, Texas, disappeared on Wednesday as Tropical Storm Alberto caused coastal flooding in southern Texas. The John F. Kennedy Memorial Causeway was particularly affected, with several bait and fishing shops and restaurants surrounded by floodwaters, as shown in pictures taken by a local resident.

The resident, Nicole Scofield, expressed her surprise at the extent of the flooding, stating that while she had been monitoring the storm, the actual impact on the island was unexpected.

Tropical Storm Alberto has brought significant challenges to the area, with roadways and parking lots being submerged under water. The coastal flooding has disrupted normal activities and caused inconvenience to residents and businesses in the affected areas.

Authorities are working to address the aftermath of the storm and mitigate further damage. Residents are advised to exercise caution and stay informed about the evolving situation as Tropical Storm Alberto continues to impact the region.
