An Ayrshire cocktail bar is set to close after bosses admitted they had run out of resources to stay open.
Links Cocktail Bar in Troon will pour its last drink next Friday.
The Templehill bar which opened at the site of the iconic MacIntyres bar told announced they were to stop operating to customers last night.
An emotional announcement on the venues Facebook said they had taken the decision with a 'heavy heart'.
Owner Jamie Alexander admitted that he was finding it "incredibly tough" to continue under the current climate.
The owner said: "It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that Links will no longer be operating as of the end of January.
"It has been incredibly tough operating under the current climate and unfortunately with being such a young business, I have run out of resources to keep it going.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who passed through the doors, our regulars, friends and family who made this possible. It has been a year to remember. "
The quirky bar originally opened over the festive period in 2021 into 2022 and served the town with some expert mixes including spectacular flambéed tipples.
The bar also added a Mexican themed food menu, serving up tacos, quesadillas and burritos from the in-house kitchen.
And Links have promised to slash the prices for their last hurrah, with all cocktails being served at a fixed price.
Jamie added: "Our last night open as normal will be Friday, January 27.
"If you would like to enjoy the last drinks served across the bar we will be doing any cocktail on the menu for £6.50 with the £5 menu still in place."
Customers were quick to react to the sad news.
One customer said: "It’s such a shame to loose another great venue for Troon.
"You gave it your best shot and did amazing.
"Wishing you all the best in your next venture Jamie and there won’t be another expresso martini like the Links."
Another commented: "Nooooooooo! The Links is my first choice on a night out. I’m so sorry it hasn’t worked out for you and I’ll miss your legendary cocktails!"
