ScotRail has confirmed there will be no trains out of Glasgow on the last day of TRNSMT. Revellers will need to find their own way home after headliner Lewis Capaldi wraps the festival up next Sunday.
Rail chiefs have urged those attending the event to find alternative modes of transport. While there will be no trains on Sunday, a limited number of services will run after 11pm throughout Friday and Saturday night.
The final journeys are:
- 23:05 Glasgow Central to Neilston
- 23:17 Glasgow Central to East Kilbride
- 23:21 Glasgow Central to Gourock
- 23:22 Glasgow Queen Street to Stirling
- 23:30 Glasgow Central to Ayr
- 23:45 Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley
Around 150,000 revellers are expected to descend onto Glasgow Green when the festival takes place from July 8-10, with acts including Paolo Nutini, Lewis Capaldi and The Strokes. Gates to the venue open at 12pm each day, with rail chiefs urging ticketholders to leave early for the event.
A statement from ScotRail reads: "We'll be doing all we can to help you travel to see Paolo Nutini, The Strokes, and Lewis Capaldi headline TRNSMT on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8-10 July, respectively. The gates at Glasgow Green will be open from 12pm each day, and we'd encourage you travel to the venue early if you can.
"When heading home, we urge you to check your journey and know your travel options, as there will be a very limited number of trains departing from Glasgow city centre after 11pm on Friday and Saturday night due to the temporary timetable currently in place. Please be aware that space on board the last services is each night is limited, and no rail replacement transport is available, so check your journey and know what alternative modes of transport are available."
It comes as the operator has slashed hundreds of services across the country due to ongoing strike action.
The ongoing pay dispute has forced bosses to introduce a reduced timetable across the network.
