TRNSMT reveller gets down on one knee to propose to girlfriend as delighted crowd cheers him on

Footage has emerged of a loved-up couple getting engaged during Callum Beattie's TRNSMT set as delighted revellers cheer them on. In the short clip, taken on Friday, the man hops up on the security barrier at the front of the King Tut's Stage and holds a ring in the air toward his girlfriend who walks teary-eyed towards him.

The soon-to-be groom then gets on one knee as hundreds of music fans look on. A loud cheer erupts from the music crowd as the bride-to-be says yes and the two kiss to celebrate their new engagement.

The 51-second Tik Tok was posted to the video-sharing site by yogamegs who asked the public to tag the mystery couple. Scots musician Callum Beattie can also be seen in the video as he runs across and can be seen posing for photos with the happy couple.

Beattie had earlier roamed around backstage wearing a T-shirt saying ‘This is Not Callum Beattie’ before his set, and later carried out a meet and greet with competition-winning fans.

Elsewhere, wedding bells were ringing as a couple were spotted in full wedding attire dancing to Paolo Nutini. The couple are believed to have got hitched within hours of being on site at the festival in Glasgow Green.

In a now viral video from Instagram they can be seen jigging away as Paolo takes to the stage.

Around 150,000 attended Scotland's biggest music festival at Glasgow Green across the weekend as headliners Nutini, The Strokes, and Lewis Capaldi wowed the crowds with barnstorming sets.
