TRNSMT is just around the corner and ticket holders will already be planning how they'll get to Scotland's biggest music festival.
This Friday, 50,000 music fans will descend on Glasgow Green to enjoy performances from big names like like Sam Fender, The 1975 and George Ezra and many more.
There are plenty of ways to get to the three day event, from car to trains, buses, coaches, with accessible parking options for those with disabilities. However, this year drivers may have to alter their plans due to the city's new Low Emission Zone (LEZ).
Enforced on June 1, Glasgow's LEZ prohibits cars that don't meet certain emissions standards from entering its perimeter, of which Glasgow Green is partly located. Those who are caught violating the LEZ will be issued a £60 fixed penalty notice.
As there is no festival parking, motorists previously had to rely on city centre car parks, but this may now not be possible for all drivers. Luckily, there are ways to check if your car can enter and exit the LEZ.
Camping is not permitted, so it is important to organise how you will get home from the festival. While bus routes will be available, not all rail services will be running by the festival's closing time on Sunday.
Here's what you should know if you're heading to Glasgow Green this weekend.
Bus
Glasgow Green can be accessed via Buchanan Bus Station which is around a 20 minute walk away from the TRNSMT entrance.

For local commuters, the following First Bus services stop within a five minute walk to Glasgow Green:

Train
To accommodate the large amount of travellers heading to the festival, ScotRail will offer extra trains over the three day period.
As a result, the rail operator will be altering times for some trains to allow for the changes, so it's worth checking timetables and booking tickets in advance on the ScotRail website.
The following train stations are all within a 15 minute walk of Glasgow Green.
- Glasgow Central Station
- Glasgow Queen Street Station
- Glasgow High Street Station
- Glasgow Argyle Street Station
- Glasgow Bridgeton Station
Subway
Glasgow Green can be accessed from two subway stations both within a fifteen minute walk.
These are:
- Buchanan Street station
- St Enoch Station
Note this service will not be available after the event on Sunday, as the service closes earlier on this day.
According to its website, the Subway is open 06:30am to 11:40pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 6:12pm on Sundays.
Walking
Glasgow Green is well serviced by all major travel hubs in the city centre which are all within walking distance of the festival site.

Coaches
Happy Bus provide a chartered coach service with parking close to Glasgow Green.
For anyone travelling from England, the Green Bus Company have a service straight to TRNSMT.
Parking
Glasgow Green will be serviced by 7 car parks all within a fifteen minute walk.
These are:
- Q Park Albion Street - 437 spaces
- City Parking Duke Street - 170 spaces
- NCP Montrose Street - 230 spaces
- Merchant City High Street - 200 spaces
- NCP King Street - 660 spaces
- NCP Glassford Street - 545 spaces
- NCP Dunlop Street - 112 spaces
Pick up/drop offs
Due to road closures, it is not possible for cars to get close to Glasgow Green on show days.
The following four locations are considered most convenient when arranging to drop off or pick up:
- North - Duke Street at High Street
- South – Caledonia Road
- East – London Road, east of Bridgeton Rail Station
- West – Broomielaw, west of Oswald Street
Low Emissions Zone
All vehicles entering the Glasgow City Centre Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) will need to meet the less-polluting emission standards or face a penalty charge.
If you are planning on utilising a city centre car park or arranging to pick up or drop off, plan your journey to avoid using the LEZ routes.

Glasgow Green is serviced by the following taxi ranks:
- Glasgow Cross on London Road
- Albion Street, Merchant City
- West George St at Queen Street Station
- Gordon St at Central Station
Accessible parking
A limited number of blue badge parking spaces are available to pre-arrange. According to TRNSMT maps, the accessible cark park is located by the London Road entrance, which is not affected by the LEZ.
