TRNSMT 2022 VIP area: Everything you can expect from the section this year

This year festival-goers will be heading down to Glasgow Green to see some big stars take to the stage.

From July 8 to the 10th, the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender, Sigrid, Years & Years and Example will land in the city performing their biggest hits.

Whilst the majority of people have now bought their tickets, others are still undecided with folk wondering if they should go for the VIP upgrade.

So with less than a month to go until the big event, what do we know about the TRNSMT VIP section so far?

What's included in TRNSMT's VIP tickets?

If you're after a more laid-back festival experience, VIP tickets could be the way to go this year.

The music festival organisers have said that by buying their VIP passes, individuals will have access to the following:

  • A glass of bubbly on arrival, each day*
  • A new dedicated VIP entrance
  • Access to an exclusive chill-out zone away from the main festival arena
  • VIP Bar and food area, catering to all dietary requirements
  • Seated area
  • Upgraded flushing toilets

*A challenge 25 policy will be in operation at the bars ensuring access is restricted to persons 18 and over. Proof of age may be required. Please bring acceptable photographic ID. Can be substituted for a soft drink.

What does the VIP section at TRNSMT look like?

Because it's a bit early in the game, there's no behind the scene footage of what it looks like however last year TRNSMT uploaded a sneak peak of what revellers can expect when they head to the music festival from food stalls to the seating area which you can watch above.

Recently however it was announced that they have teamed up with a popular chicken chain.

Taking to their website they said: "cinch presents TRNSMT have announced our latest partnership – and it’s a good one! Black Rooster Peri Peri – a business born in Glasgow – will be making their festival debut at cinch presents TRNSMT this year as our Official Peri Peri Partner. "
