With the countdown to TRNSMT underway, those with tickets are already planning how they'll make their way to Scotland's biggest music festival. This Friday, TRNSMT returns to Glasgow Green, hosting an impressive line up with the likes of Paolo Nutini and Lewis Capaldi set to headline and many more.
If you want a stress-free journey, planing your travel route to the three day festival in advance is a must. As there is no parking at TRNSMT, organisers strongly recommend travelling by public transport into the city and walking to Glasgow Green.
Camping is not permitted, so planning your route home is also crucial. To help attendants find their way to and around the festival, TRNSMT are implementing ' What3Words ', a website which helps you find and share precise locations
According to TRNSMT: "Every 3 metre square in the world has its own unique three-word identifier: a what3words address. Now, you can know exactly where to find site entrances, box offices, ATMs and other useful points of interest - or just arrange meeting points with friends - using just three words.
"Wherever you see /// followed by three words, this will be the address of the location."
Now that you know the best way to get around TRNSMT, below is a full list of transport options to make your journey seamless - and one you should avoid.
Train
Due to massive strikes, rail services have experienced cancellations, as well as reduced services across Scotland. While ScotRail staff are not currently on strike, union staff shortages mean they can only offer extremely limited trains schedules.
Therefore, taking the train to TRNSMT this year is not advised. If this is your only option, check ScotRail timetables carefully. You should download the ScotRail app to keep on top of the latest updates, or you can also check on their website.
