Triumph Wants You To Customize Its Bikes, Holds Custom Contest In France

Motorcycling and customization go hand in hand. From the early days of chopping and bobbing cruisers to the modern-day café racer resurgence, riders have always sought to make their machines uniquely theirs. Personal expression through motorcycles isn’t just a trend—it’s an integral part of the culture. And now, manufacturers are embracing this spirit more than ever, particularly with their neo-retro offerings.

Brands like Royal Enfield have built an entire community around customization, with models like the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT serving as blank canvases for builders worldwide. Even Triumph, a brand deeply rooted in motorcycling heritage, has taken an increasingly active role in encouraging riders to modify their machines. The British marque has long offered an extensive catalog of factory accessories, but in recent years, it’s gone a step further by directly supporting custom projects.

Now, with its 2025 Custom Contest over in France, Triumph is throwing the doors wide open and letting creativity run wild.

Most manufacturer-backed custom competitions place restrictions on modifications—whether by budget, available parts, or even structural integrity (such as limiting frame modifications). Triumph, however, has turned that idea on its head. The 2025 Custom Contest gives dealers total creative freedom, allowing them to choose any model from the 2025 lineup and modify it however they see fit.

That means everything is on the table—chassis transformations, swingarm swaps, race-spec components, forced induction, bespoke bodywork, custom paint jobs, and more. Dealers have taken full advantage of this, working their magic on a diverse range of bikes, from the Scrambler 400 X and Speed Twin to the high-performance Speed Triple 1200 RS and even the adventure-focused Tiger 1200. It’s a stunning showcase of what’s possible when imagination meets engineering prowess.

The contest is already in full swing, and enthusiasts can check out the builds and vote for their favorites online. To sweeten the deal, Triumph is offering an incentive to voters: a lucky participant will be randomly selected to win €1,500 worth of Triumph clothing or accessories. It’s a great way to get the riding community engaged and invested in the contest’s outcome.

Triumph has been on a roll in recent years, balancing modern performance with classic appeal and continuing to grow its global presence. The Custom Contest is another smart move, ensuring the brand remains deeply connected to the custom scene. From entry-level models like the Speed 400 to high-performance machines like the Speed Triple 1200 RR, Triumph is making it clear that its bikes are not just for riding—they’re for personal expression.
