Tristan Thompson says past shouldn't make you feel guilty amid Khloe Kardashian drama

Tristan Thompson shared a cryptic Instagram post on Wednesday telling people not to feel guilty about their past.

The basketball star, 31, has been embroiled in drama following his failed relationship with Khloe Kardashian, 37, after he was found to have fathered another child while partnered with the reality TV star.

The message posted on his Insta Stories told his 3.6 million followers not to "live in the past or the future".

In the midst of his current drama, he shared the words: "Let the past guide you rather than making you feel guilty.

"Let the future excite you rather than making you feel anxious. Let the present be a gift to you to feel alive rather than a curse that makes you live in the past or future."

While it was unknown who the quote was from, Tristan included two speaking head emojis over the post.

It comes after news broke in December that he had fathered Maralee Nichols' child even though he had previously denied cheating on Khloe with the Texas trainer.

He wrote on Instagram at the time: "“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.

"I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately."

Tristan shares three-year-old daughter True with Khloe and continued: "Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.

"You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."

Recently, Maralee demanded that the sports star paid £35,000 a month in child support for their young child.

He was said to have previously refused to pay costs to help fund child support for his third child.

Maralee filed paperwork at a Los Angeles court at the beginning of March, stating the Chicago Bulls player has an "income of $9.7million (£7.4million) alone".

It led to her requesting a "guideline monthly child support of $47,424" according to the publication.

Maralee claimed that her newborn baby "and I are living at a far depressed standard of living than Tristan".
