When it comes to trash talk, there may have been no more brutal than what came from Hall of Fame Boston Celtics big man Kevin Garnett. The Big Ticket was a soul-crushing force on the parquet when it came to crushing the will and focus of his opponents on the court, as has been testified to eternity and back by both teammates and the players he played against.
In fact, in a recent interview on ESPN’s “NBA Today” show, a fellow frontcourt member of KG’s 2008 title team with the Celtics in Kendrick Perkins shared his memory of Garnett’s trash talk, and onetime Cleveland Cavalier center (and later, Boston big man, though long after KG had left) Tristan Thompson had a Garnett trash talk tale of his own.
