Trisha Paytas sparks outcry over claims she has multiple personalities and DID

YouTube's Trisha Paytas angered fans when she claimed she had multiple personalities and dissociative identity disorder.

The social media star come under fire from viewers after she posted a video titled Meet My Alters.

In the clip, Trisha said she had multiple personalities and she had named them: T, Trixie, Tyson, Tierney, Tobolter.

However, the YouTube star made it clear she had never been diagnosed and she had diagnosed herself.

She said: "I've never been diagnosed with anything, I've self diagnosed myself with multiple personality disorder and DID.

"There are some differences, some people think they're same."

DID also known as Dissociative identity disorder was formerly referred to as multiple personality disorder, according to the NHS.

A person diagnosed with DID could feel the presence other alternative identities which all have their own names, voices, personal history and mannerisms.

Trisha explained she has often opened up about her self-diagnosis to people in person as well as on a reality television documentary she was filming.

She went on: "I've talked about frequently. In actuality, I've talked about it plenty of times."

Beneath the video, cruel viewers were sceptical of Trisha's claims as they branded her an "attention seeker".

"You need to stop spreading misinformation and self-diagnosing." One person wrote, among the swarms.

Others added: "The only thing your getting diagnosed with is severe ATTENTION SEEKING."

"This is disgusting. You either have no common sense or no moral compass."

Her video has been seen more than 700,000 times.

It was shared with her legion of loyal fans on March 12, earlier this week.
