Triple Shooting In Florida Leaves Three Women Dead

Students protest gun violence in front of City Hall, in Los Angeles

Three women in Florida's Manatee County tragically lost their lives in a series of shootings that unfolded on Monday, with the perpetrator identified as the son of one of the victims. The devastating chain of events began at a Motel 6 in Bradenton, where a 48-year-old woman was found deceased from a gunshot wound. Witnesses recounted that the victim's son, Javontee Brice, was responsible for the fatal attack before fleeing the scene.

Later that evening, another shooting took place in Palmetto on the 900 block of 26th Street Court East, claiming the life of a 29-year-old woman. Once again, Brice was identified as the assailant by witnesses at the scene. As authorities were still investigating these incidents, Brice was linked to a third shooting in Bradentown, where he fatally shot another woman before escaping.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office swiftly issued a statewide alert for Brice's vehicle, prompting a collaborative effort among law enforcement agencies to apprehend him near the state line in Hamilton County. It was revealed that Brice had intentions to carry out a fourth shooting in Georgia before being intercepted by authorities.

In a dramatic turn of events, Brice engaged in a confrontation with Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies and was fatally shot during the encounter. This brought an end to the violent spree that had claimed the lives of three innocent women and potentially averted further tragedy in another state.
