Travel gurus at Tripadvisor have revealed their Top 10 places to visit in Ireland – and they are nearly all in Dublin.
The majority of the attractions include the capital, while counties Clare, Galway and Kerry also get a mention.
In Dublin, four of the listings are in the city, while three are connected to Howth and the other is a tour from Dublin to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher in Clare.

The destinations are all revealed today in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Things to Do Awards.
Tripadvisor explained that it picked its Ireland Top 10 by analysing “the authentic feedback from its community to identify and rank the best in travel”.
A spokesperson said: “We are revealing all the must-do activities in travel hotspots.
“This accolade includes hidden gems in off the beaten path locations.”
She added: “In Ireland, the top experience is the Dark Dublin Guided Walking Tour.
“This experience also places 15th in Europe. On this experience you’ll discover the spooky side of Dublin with a small-group walking tour focused on the city’s dark history.
“Other notable Irish winners include a Guided Climb of Carrauntoohil in Beaufort, Killarney. It ranked second in Ireland and 16th in Europe.
“Also in the Top Experiences category, a Cliffs of Moher Tour, including the Wild Atlantic Way and Galway city came third in Ireland and 23rd in Europe.
“In the Popular Culture Tours category, Windmill Lane Recording Studios in Dublin placed eighth in the world.”
The top listing in the world for 2022 was named as the Amsterdam Open Boat Canal Cruise.
