Irish hotels and B&Bs have been recognised alongside some of the best holiday accommodations in the 2022 Tripadvisor Awards.
The travel website announced all of its winners today (May 10) with a number of Irish and UK destinations featuring on the lists in various categories.
No Dublin hotels or accommodations appear on any lists although a number of top-quality Irish stays were listed.

One Irish B&B ranked high in Tripadvisor's list of the top 25 B&Bs and inns in the world. Taking the number 12 spot on the list, Sheedy's Doolin in County Clare features modern rooms with views of the stunning natural surroundings as well as gourmet breakfast and an expert hostess with top tips on what to do and where to go in the area.
Listed among the best hotels on water in the world is Pax Guest House in Dingle, County Kerry. This hotel features gorgeous views of the harbour and is just 1km from Dingle town.
The other Irish hotel to be recognised as part of the prestigious awards is Loch Lein Country House in Killarney, County Kerry which took the number 18 spot in the list of top small stays in the world.
The awards celebrated hotels all around the world in multiple other categories including Most Luxurious, Hottest New Hotels, Out Of The Ordinary Hotels, Most Romantic Hotels and overall Top Hotels in the world.
Chief Commercial Officer at Tripadvisor Kanika Soni said of this year's awards: "We know that travel is not a one-size-fits-all approach, so the Travellers’ Choice Awards have you covered–no matter what type of trip you’re planning.
"Winners for 2022 span six continents and 90 countries, ranging from cave hotels to overwater bungalows to castles and even family-owned B&Bs."
The award for top hotel in the world went to Tulemar Bungalows & Villas in Costa Rica, followed by Hotel Colline de France in Brazil in second place and Ikos Aria in Greece in third place.
