Trio of lettings at Birmingham offices

A trio of office lettings has been completed in Birmingham's business district.

Law firm Capsticks has signed a ten-year lease on 6,987 sq ft on the 12th floor of One Temple Row while media agency MediaCom has taken 2,753 sq ft on the third floor, also on a ten-year lease.

Existing tenant Greens Solicitors has also expanded within the building, doubling its office space by taking a further 2,900 sq ft and relocating from the eighth to the fifth floor, also on a ten-year lease.

Property consultancy CBRE advised landlord Aviva Investors on the lettings to MediaCom and Greens Solicitors with joint property agency Cushman & Wakefield advising on the letting to Capsticks.

One Temple Row has almost 100,000 sq ft of office space over 12 floors and has undergone a £1 million refurbishment programme since Aviva acquired it in 2019.

The works included adding a large roof terrace and introducing new tenant amenities including cycle storage, changing facilities, meeting rooms, break-out areas and a coffee shop.

Theo Holmes, senior director and head of office agency at CBRE in Birmingham, said: "Aviva's investment in the building to improve both the office accommodation and tenant experience is paying dividends, as evidenced by these recent lettings."

David Rigby, partner at Cushman & Wakefield in Birmingham, added: "These lettings are further examples of the flight to quality we are seeing from companies looking to improve their accommodation for their employees' return to work."
