A man who died in a crash in Runcorn has been named locally as Nathan Lindsay.
He has been described as a 'lad with a heart of gold' in tributes shared to Facebook by 'heartbroken' friends and family. The 26-year-old, nicknamed Nay, died in a crash involving a red and white dirt bike and a black Ford Eco sport on Halton Brow.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash at around 1.20pm, on Friday, September 23, in an attempt to save the life of the Runcorn man. An air ambulance landed in a nearby field and he was rushed to Whiston Hospital.

Police have confirmed that Nathan died a short time later and his family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Flowers, balloons and candles have been left at the scene of the crash in tribute of Nathan. Red candles left on the tarmac spell out the name Nathan Lindsay and the words uncle, son, dad and brother.
Taking to Facebook, Melissa Watts said: "So sad. Can’t believe I’m reading this truly can’t rest easy mate!! Shocked to say the least my thoughts are with Wendy and family." Court Jade commented: "Rip Nay , such a kind hearted caring young man that would help anyone and do anything for anyone. Gone but not forgotten. Thinking of your poor mum and brothers and little niece and nephews."
Kane Ste added: "What a guy he was aswell, RIP nay lad thoughts go out to all family an friends an people that knew him . Cool kid you’ll be missed am sure bro." Rebecca Devine said: "Thinking of all na’s family good. Lad heart of gold good night god bless mate."
Another man was also riding the pit bike at the time of the crash. The other man, aged 23, was also taken to Whiston Hospital for further checks. The driver of the car, a woman, was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
A spokesperson for the force said: "A number of enquiries are currently underway and road closures remain in place at this time.
