Tributes have poured in for a 'beautiful angel' who died after being hit by a van in Huyton.
Lexi McDavid was rushed to Alder Hey at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, June 7, after being hit by a white Mercedes van as she got off a bus. The 12-year-old, from Huyton, died a short time later.
Bouquets of flowers, candles and written tributes have now been left at the scene of the crash, on Princess Drive. One of the hand-written tributes, written on a wooden box filled with white and pink roses, reads: "Love you baby girl. Miss you so much Angel."

On Facebook, hundreds have sent their condolences to Lexi's family and friends, Marie Lythgoe commented: "So tragic RIP Lexie, heaven's gained a special Angel. Condolences to all family & friends. God bless." A second, Ally Curran said: "Every parent's worst nightmare, thoughts to her family."
Danielle McDermott added: "Oh how awful. What a beautiful young girl. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends at this devastating time." While Emma Mellor said: "Heartbreaking. Thoughts are with all involved. Rest in peace Lexi."
Police have confirmed that the driver of the van remained at the scene and is continuing to assist police with enquiries into the incident. They are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or has information about the incident to contact them.
Detective sergeant Andy Roper from Merseyside police serious collision investigation unit said: "Our thoughts and condolences this morning are very much with the family of Lexi, who has lost her life at a tragically young age, and they are receiving the support of specialist officers.
"An investigation is ongoing and we’d ask that anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on dashcam or other devices and has yet to come forward does so as soon as possible. Your information could be vital to our investigation. Whether you come to us directly or anonymously, through Crimestoppers, all information will be acted upon."
