More tributes have come in from across Northumberland following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The nation is coming to terms with the fact that it is without its long-serving head of state for the first time in 70 years after she passed away peacefully at Balmoral in Scotland on Thursday.
A number of prominent figures from across the North East paid tribute to Her Majesty yesterday, and the tributes have continued to pour in today.

In a statement, Blyth Valley MP Ian Levy said: "I’m sure I speak on behalf of everybody in Blyth Valley when I say how devastated I am on hearing the news that Her Majesty, The Queen has passed away peacefully at Balmoral.
"Our thoughts are with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the rest of the Royal Family. She will be sorely missed by us all and we are truly grateful for everything she has done for our country.
"Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth has demonstrated exemplary service to our country for 70 years as our Monarch and it was fitting to honour Her Platinum Jubilee earlier this year with a long weekend of celebrations right across the country. This was an opportunity for the whole country to show how much she was loved and revered. Rest in Peace, Your Majesty."
The leader of Northumberland Labour, Coun Scott Dickinson, added: "A sad day across the UK, Commonwealth and World as we hear of the death of Queen Elizabeth II someone most of us have had in our lives for its entirety. Someone who has been a constant in people’s lives when often other things were not.
"Being there during war, times of crises and gave her all for her entire life carrying out duty until the day before her death. Our thoughts are now with the family as they mourn a loved one, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and with the whole nation as they also mourn the remarkable woman that was longest serving monarch."
