Tributes have been pouring in for a tragic dad-of-one who passed away over the weekend.
Popular Cork man Philip Williams died on Saturday after a long battle with illness.
The 33-year-old was a father to daughter Sally, and was well-known for working as an ice cream man, his family's business.
Philip was laid to rest in a funeral service at St. Catherine's Church in Conna on Tuesday.
A procession of ice cream vans joined the funeral cortege for his final journey, with vans from across the country travelling down for the mass.
And tributes have been pouring in for the hugely popular local man.
One mourner wrote: "R.I.P Philip I'll miss our chats and laughs at the ice cream van this summer. Fly high my friend."
While another added: "Very sorry to hear of the passing of Phillip, after his long battle. He was a sound bloke and was always in great form.my sincere condolences to all of his family and his daughter."
And Philip's family confirmed that he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, and paid special thanks to staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice and Cork University Hospital.
A post on RIP.ie reads: "Philip (Mr Softee & Williams Funfair) passed away, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family after a long illness bravely borne. Beloved son of Paddy and Mary, much loved father of Sally, dear brother of Patrick, Jonathan, sisters Louise O’Sullivan and Jessica.
"Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken parents, daughter, brothers, sisters, brother-in-law Kevin, Sally's mother Rebecca, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
"Philip’s family wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice and Cork University Hospital for their exceptional care of Philip during his illness and their support to us during that time, it will always be remembered."
